Hello All,
All we can say about the 2007 Cruzin' for Life Event is WOW! With your help we were able to donate $70,000! Hard to imagine just four years ago at our first event we donated just $15,000. We've come a long way baby ! The Cruzin? for Life Board thanks you very much!
Feedback from the 2007 cruising participants was very positive. Being our first year to cruise downtown Santa Maria we know we have a few kinks to work out but all in all the cruisers had a great time.
There will be big changes for the 2008 event. First, we have once again outgrown our location so the event will now be hosted at the Santa Maria Fairpark. This location will not only host our car show, cruise base and burn-out contest but also the evening event. We are very excited to now have plenty of room to accommodate our growing popularity. Second, a few more details still need to be worked out but we are very hopeful to have a portion of Broadway completely closed for our cruise-survivor parade!
Please remember Cruzin' for Life when planning your 2008 budget. Sponsorships, and donations from corporations, business leaders, and community members are the backbone of our annual event. Also, if you have an idea for an auction item or would like to volunteer your time, please contact one of the Board Members.
